Makan Dulu is a Hawkers Market with a Broome-style twist, held in in the heart of Town, Makan Dulu is a feast for the senses, featuring entertainment from local Broome artists and touring performances from WA Opera. Set under stars and lanterns amid a banquet of Asian street eats, musical treats, and visual delights, Shinju Matsuri’s enchanting new event is not to be missed.

The literal translation of Makan Dulu is ‘Eat First’ this is a traditional phrase in the Malaysian community, often followed with ‘have you eaten?’ It is customary to share food with others and never eat alone. We invite you to ‘Eat First’ with us and share our wonderful traditional Broome cuisine.
Purchase of your ticket will take you on a taste journey through Asia with dumplings, bao, wok noodles boxes and BBQ delights from 6pm! A cash bar of flowing Plantaganet Wine, Gage Roads and Matsos beers will be available all night long while you’re entertained by live music and roaming performers.
