Art Awards and A View To Asia Registrations Now Open

ART REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN

Join the Broome arts community for this annual event which showcases the best artistic talent every year. The Shinju Matsuri Art Awards receives more than 80 entries across various categories. Come and admire the local talent for yourself throughout the week at the Broome Civic Centre.

All entries are eligible for the Shire of Broome Acquisitive Art Award and the People’s Choice Award.

To enter the awards, follow these easy steps:

  3. Then email us a  photo of your artwork
Applications Close on Friday 26 August 2016 at 5pm and no late registrations will be accepted. All artists MUST provide artwork information prior to this date to be included in the catalogue of artworks for the Art Awards.

Artwork must arrive at the Broome Civic Centre on Saturday 10th September between 10am and 1pm.


CALLING ALL SCULPTORS 
Registrations are NOW OPEN for A View to Asia Sculptural Exhibition and Awards. This interactive exhibition of sculpture and installations by West Australian artists will interpret Broome’s multicultural nature and the town’s links to Asia.

All entries are eligible to Win Cash prizes from a total prize pool of $8000.

Works will be on display for the duration of the festival from 10 September to 18 September. All works have the opportunity to be sold during the festival.

We encourage Kimberley community members to submit their masterpieces into the competition to win cash prizes up to $5000.

Perth artists are also encouraged to submit works for A View to Asia with subsidised freight options available upon request.
